It's a historical hotel that we wanted to check out. The rooms looked to be nicely appointed and were when we got there, although they are certainly on the smaller side. They had bowls set out for our dog as well as a couple of treats for her which was a nice touch.
The room did sort of smell like my Grandma's place. Not dirty in any way at all, you can just tell that it is an old building. The interior of the hotel itself could use a bit of polish and a coat of stain here and there but overall it was as advertised

The queen room was luxurious, included central heating, multi-channel TV and a radio. The bathroom was amazing, it was nice to have a bathtub. Its location was central, close to Quesnel Twin Arenas. There was a nice restaurant, shops and chemist's next door.

The historic hotel building had a charming vibe, and the room was large, with both a double and a single bed along with a fridge and coffee machine. Comfy beds made it easy to unwind. The cleanliness of the room stood out, and the shower had great water pressure. I appreciated the big free parking area, a huge plus when traveling. I found the hotel bar and restaurant closed quite early at 9 PM, disappointing since many places in town close around the same time. It felt odd not being able to grab a drink in-house after a long day. While the overall experience was good, late-night options left much to be desired.

I loved my room, cute period decore (beautiful antiques), cozy, with a widescreen TV, and oh so clean! Even the tap water was delicious and the view of the flowers in the window boxes outside the window, awesome! Thank you so much to the staff for keeping it so fine. I really appreciated the homeyness ~ The staff were so helpful ~ When I left without a receipt ~ they offered to mail it to me ~ no problem!!

The kids loved the casino with its 125 slot machines and vibrant atmosphere. We enjoyed the western-style decor and convenience of the hotel being close to restaurants downtown. It was really nice to have a comfortable, clean room for our stay with the whole family.
My kids wished for more family-friendly activities.

Separate room with closets and beautiful bathroom, for example. Marvellous and convenient location close enough to many restaurants and shops, the river, and the Casino or Draft Beer, reasonably priced food.
